Sylvie Abecassis is a professional illustrator and mixed media artist based in Denver. She has an affinity for paper and clay. Her ceramic pieces are made of raku clay. Her work taps into her love of color and illustration by hand painting and layering each layer before assembling them together into a complex and meaningful piece of art. She has won awards in juried art exhibits and her work is found in numerous collections in Colorado.
